January Updates

Dear WOLA Families,                               

 Welcome back families!  We hope that you were able to enjoy a nice long holiday weekend with your kiddos.   It is also the time of year where we start looking ahead to fall registration. I know it is hard to believe considering it is the middle of January, but today is the very first day of registration for the 2015-2016 school year! We have had so many of our wonderful families that have helped us spread the word about Word of Life Academy, so pay close attention to our referral program. We are happy to provide you with extra packets so that you can share them with all of your friends, neighbors, and family!

 Enrollment – We are currently enrolling students for the fall 2015-16 school year.  You will find the enrollment packet in your folder today.   All of our current families are receiving priority enrollment before we open up enrollment to the community. So that you may take advantage of this time, it is important that you return your enrollment paperwork to us by February 7^th before Open Enrollment begins on February 10^th.

 Referrals– We would like to give a great big THANK-YOU to our wonderful families that have been spreading the word about Word of Life Academy. If you know of any families that are interested in enrolling, please let us know. Spots will fill up fast and this is the perfect time to tour the school.

 Parent Options Classes ~ There are still openings for Soccer and Dance if you are interested, just ask us at the front desk for more info.

 Get Connected! –  There are so many ways to stay connected to us here at Word of Life Academy. We are sent home a handout and an email last week that shows you all of the ways that you can stay connected to us.  It is a great way to stay connected with the school and also to learn about weather cancellations as well. If you haven’t friended us or followed us yet, now is a great time to start. There is even a special contest this month on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for all of our families – get connected to find out more!

 Label Cold Weather Clothing ~ When the weather gets so chilly, our lost and found tends to build with coats, hats, and gloves.  Please make sure to label all of your children ’s clothing items so that we can get the lost items back to their owners. 

 Year End Statements ~ Full account statements will come home in your folders next Tuesday, January 20^th.

Welcom Back!

Hello WOLA Families!!!

 

Welcome back!  We hope you all had an amazing Christmas break with your children!  Our staff is so happy to have you back this week - we missed your kiddo’s sweet faces!

Change of Clothes ~ Since the weather has been chilly, we would love for the children to have a warm change of clothes in their classroom.  If you have not already done so, please be sure to change out your child’s clothes to a warm set.  If you are not sure what extra clothes your child already has here, please check with his/her teacher.  They will be happy to check for you.

 

Hot Lunch Menu ~ We are sending home January menus in this week’s folder. Since the month of January has already started, please try to get these back to us as soon as possible.

 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday ~ Monday the 20^th of January is Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.  The school will be closed in recognition of this holiday.

 Enrollment – January is the month in which we begin planning for fall enrollment. All of our current families will receive priority enrollment before we open up enrollment to the community. Please be watching for enrollment packets to be coming later this month.
